Free WinUnRAR is a little and easy to use utility. If you have it installed, you are able to decompress '.RAR' files in a fast and simple way (shell context menu - right click on file).
Used libraries are UNRAR.DLL by win.rar GmbH and this library (for MinGW). This Software is released under The GNU General Public License (plain text), respective SourceForge.net Public Domain (wiki, cc).

The 7-Zip file archiver supports also the unpacking of RAR archives, it provides a higher compression ratio for ZIP than other software and the own 7z format is even better in compression than RAR (also available for other platforms such as linux)! |
